Child Care

A Place Where Every Child Belongs

At High Hopes Child Care, we believe every child deserves a place where they feel
welcomed, supported, and valued.

Our Bellevue child care center provides a caring, inclusive environment for children
of all abilities. We focus on creating a place where children can learn, play, build
friendships, and grow while families feel confident knowing their child is cared for
by a team that truly gets to know them.

Child Care for Every Stage

High Hopes provides child care for children from infancy through school age, with
programs designed around the needs and developmental stages of the children in our care.

Infant Care

Our infant program provides a nurturing environment where each baby’s individual
routines, needs, and development are supported throughout the day.

We understand how important communication is during the infant years and work closely
with families to provide consistent, responsive care.

Toddler Care

Toddlers are busy discovering the world around them. Our toddler program provides
opportunities for movement, exploration, language development, social interaction,
and learning through play while maintaining the routines and support young children need.

Preschool & Pre-K

Our preschool program combines learning and play to help children develop the skills
they need for their next steps.

Children have opportunities to build independence, strengthen social-emotional skills,
develop early academic concepts, explore their creativity, and learn how to be part of
a classroom community.

Preparing Children for What’s Next

Our goal isn’t simply to care for children during the day. We want children to develop
the confidence, independence, communication, social-emotional skills, and early learning
foundations that help prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

Through play, classroom routines, group experiences, hands-on learning, and opportunities
to make choices and solve problems, children build skills they can carry with them into
their next classroom and beyond.

School-Age Care

High Hopes provides care for school-age children, including before- and after-school care
and care during eligible school breaks and summer periods based on program availability.

Our school-age program gives children a safe, welcoming place to spend time outside of
the school day while providing opportunities for friendships, activities, play, and independence.

Inclusive Child Care

Inclusion is at the heart of High Hopes.

Children with and without disabilities learn, play, and grow alongside one another in
our classrooms. We recognize that every child brings different strengths, experiences,
personalities, and needs to our program, and we believe those differences make our
classrooms stronger.

Inclusive child care benefits all children. Growing up and learning alongside children
with different abilities and needs gives children natural opportunities to develop empathy,
patience, acceptance, cooperation, and respect for others. Children learn that everyone
may communicate, learn, move, play, or participate differently, and that those differences
are a normal and valued part of being part of a community.

Our inclusive environment also gives children opportunities to learn from one another,
build friendships with a diverse group of peers, and recognize both the things they have
in common and the unique strengths each person brings to the classroom.

Our team works with families to understand each child as an individual and to identify
reasonable supports that can help them participate successfully in our program.

When a child has an IEP, IFSP, therapy services, or other supports, we encourage families
to share that information with us so we can better understand the child’s goals and work
collaboratively with families and other professionals when appropriate.

Supporting Services During the Child Care Day

For many families, coordinating therapy and other support services around work, school,
and family schedules can be challenging. When appropriate, High Hopes welcomes approved
professionals into our center so children can receive services during their child care day.

This may include services such as:

  • Early Intervention and school-based services, including services provided through
    Bellevue Public Schools
  • Speech therapy
  • Occupational therapy (OT)
  • Physical therapy (PT)
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services
  • Other services or supports appropriate for the child and our child care setting

Allowing services to take place at High Hopes can make it easier for families to coordinate
their child’s care while also giving providers an opportunity to support children in the
environment where they spend their day.

With appropriate family authorization, our team can collaborate with a child’s providers
to support consistency between therapy, developmental or educational goals, and the child’s
everyday experiences at High Hopes.

Services provided by outside professionals remain subject to applicable program requirements,
family authorization, scheduling, and High Hopes policies.

Any fees or payment arrangements for services provided by outside professionals are separate
from child care tuition and are arranged directly between the family and the service provider.

More Than a Place to Spend the Day

We want High Hopes to be a place children are excited to come to each day.

Our program emphasizes:

  • Learning through play and exploration
  • Social and emotional development
  • Positive relationships with teachers and peers
  • Age-appropriate independence
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Communication and language development
  • Opportunities for movement and active play
  • Respect for individual differences
  • Strong partnerships with families

Partnering With Families

Families know their children best, and we believe strong communication between home
and child care is an important part of providing quality care.

We use Brightwheel to help families stay connected to their child’s experience at
High Hopes and communicate important information throughout the year.

We also encourage ongoing communication between families and our team about children’s
development, changing needs, accomplishments, concerns, and transitions.
